Judge Frizell is passionate about seeing real and tangible change in the community. She teaches on issues of domestic violence for the State Bar of Texas Advanced Criminal Law Seminar, the Texas Council on Family Violence, the Dallas Bar Association’s Minority Counsel Panel and the Battered Women Community Education Symposium in Dallas County.
Frizell is a graduate of the State Bar Judicial College, was appointed by the Dallas City Council to serve as Chair of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the City of Dallas, is a member of the North Texas Crime Commission and served on the Board of West Coast University and the Urban League of Dallas. In addition, she is a member of the Dallas Junior League, the Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill and Omicron Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She was awarded Judge of the year by the J.L. Turner Legal Association and is a Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Life Foundation Fellow. Judge Frizell’s commitment is rooted in the development of opportunity for others.
